Aufwiedersehen lieber Sommer / ach und Hallo Herz ;)!

(sorry this time just in German, for any translation you can use the right sidebar)

a shorttrip and a word .

lit`s time to start off the new year in this space, right !?

we escaped after celebrating Christmas with family and friends
to one of our favorite spots, the Elbsandsteingebirge and Dresden.

and because the weather was unusual warm we did try out some
winter camping for the first time.

It was a fun and cozy family time.
so this won`t be the last time camping in winter for sure.

I love these special times, being close together cozied up in the caravan
and also being a lot outside in nature.
I love to walk and I love to think in between all of this.

I`m not a big fan of resolutions. But I like the chance of new beginnings.
so I always go with a word for the new year.

this year it is going to be the word:

rooted.

this is just for me, a faith thing, something quite personal.

in the last one or two years there were a lot of chapters
were the word trust became important to me.

if you had ask me before, I would have said " Sure I trust..."
But then there came some struggles, health stuff and fear tried to creep in
at this point of time. I new I had to make a decision.
will I be moved like a wave or try to learn to find rest even in a storm.

I searched God, his heart and view on things and he gave me rest, he gave me his peace.

The last two years really molded me, it wasn`t easy but its was worth the journey.
because it lead me to my roots, that are not grounded  on things I am or I can achieve,
I found my roots in Gods promises and his love for me more than ever before.

I feel grounded in him I feel rooted.

I don`t know what the year will bring, but everything will be just fine.

goodbye summer.

just a few pictures to say farewell to good old summer time.

i hope all of you enjoyed a full and happy summer.

ours was good and somehow felt like a looong holiday.

what happens if you could live each day like it would be a day off/ a free day?

after our summer holiday trip, Andi and I spoke about the fact that it´s
kind of weired to always live towards the weekend, being happy on Friday
because weekend is almost there and being kind of grumpy on Mondays.
Somehow it´s comprehensible, because for sure you have more time
/ time together on weekends . But some inner attitudes are up to us.

So for this summer we decided to  try to live each day like a free day in mind.
Of course we went to work and also had to do all other duties, but we reduced
some really unnecessary mind stress and kind of tried
to celebrate and be thankful for each day just a tiny bit more.

So we had many spontaneous trips and picnics outdoors
and sometimes stayed a up a bit way to long.
we took our caravan and lived with our friends and kids at the river side,
for several weeks ( and just went to work from there).
with just a few clothes and belongings in our traveling bag.

I tried to be more aware of each moment.
Staying in the now not planning so much ahead,
what makes life so much easier.

It mustn`t be a big thing, there is so much to be thankful for day by day,
a sunrise, a good breakfast, a kiss, a laugh, feeling the warm summer wind,
birdsongs, feet in the water, a good talk, sunset and long evenings...

I am a plan maker but more and more learning to put down my plans.

some times we just need to take the chances and live the moment.
so many things that are all worth it and other things that sometimes
get to much focus and can be put aside.

More and more I learn to really rest.
And I learn to rest in Gods good promises for my life and
enjoy the day because I know he is with me, he cares for me,
also in challenges and ups and downs, whatever may come.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for peace

and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

So to say ... all this made this summer feel a bit like a long holiday.

There is enough thankfulness, rest and peace when we focus on the
right and good things in life.

So I hope I take this summer in my heart and have a bit of it
in each coming season.

Goodbye summer, you have been a good one!

this is the day.

"This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it."
 ( Psalm 118,24 )

...thinking about these words lately a lot.

Because THIS is the day.
Not yesterday with its achievements,
not tomorrow where I may will reach another goal on my list.

 TODAY is the day,
also not yesterday with its failures,
because I can gladly live in the now,
all my past shortcomings are washed away forever:
"as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us"
( Psalm 103, 12 )
also I can enjoy the now,
not caring about the future because I know:
" Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself. "
( Matthew 6,34 )
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
 (1.Peter5,7)

This is making me content with my now.

Today may be the ordinary kind of day or it
maybe have some challenges in store for me.

But I know he made this day for me,
and will guide me in all situations,

so TODAY I will rejoice and be glad !

(linking up with faith filled Friday and beloved brews)

trust. (my new years goal)

Happy and blessed new year to you everyone !

so "trust" it is,
my chosen word for 2015.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NIV)

7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
    whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
    its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”

last year for me was a kind of year with drought and heat.
Actually I didn`t write a lot personal things,
because I had to process a lot of thoughts and still do.

I experienced not so easy times with a nerve inflammation,
burning nerve pain and inability to move my arms,
many doctors reports, pain medication and weired,
painful side effects.

being responsible for my family, my own business
and a few church things also, it felt too much.
to heavy for my aching shoulders.
I was carrying my problems- on m,y own...
anxiety, uncertainty and fear tried to take hold
inside of me.

The more doctors consulted, the more reports and
medication I got,the more
it seemed to get even worse.

I had to make a decision again.

cast my anxiety unto him.
decide where I would put my trust in.
let him care.

I thought I already lived in it.
But what I experienced that time went so much deeper.

I decided to take off all the pain and other medication,
which seemed to do me no good,

and instead trusting God for healing and relying on him.

The whole process wasn`t easy at first.
the first weeks or so it seemed to also get worse,
but I just tried to hold unto God and his promises.

and it started to become better day by day.

There are times we have to decide between circumstances and relying
on our feelings or instead trusting.
Feelings can deceive, but trust and hope in the right source will never fail.

we can find peace if we don`t concentrate on the stormy waves
and look unto Jesus.

God promised to take care of all our needs
and he has wonderful plans for each one of us:

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)

For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.
"They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

that´s my decision.
I want to live a life of trust.
holding unto his promises.
and I´m reaching out for it even more in the
new year,
to learn to live this life of trust.
each.new.day.

Isaiah 40:31(NLB)

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

currently .

Hope you all had a wonderful fall season.
just sharing some recent pics along the way ...

this fall was so uncommon here in Germany.
it was warm and sunny.
sowe spent a whole lot of our free time outside,
hiking, walking, visiting family and friends.

the shared pictures actually are some phone ones,
(sorry no big girl cam again;)...
we took on a trip to Elbsandsteingebirge.

it´s always worth it,
just packing up a few necessary things,
and then leaving for a spontaneous trip.

just somewhere out there, somewhere in nature.

there is so much beauty in creation.
all around us.
we sometimes just need to make some tiny time
to head out exploring.

nature for me sometimes just don`t need
any words to express itself.
It´s more a feeling, a stunning.
for me it´s like a kiss from the creator God,
telling you:
I love you, I made that, I made that for you,
you are made the same way, just as beautiful
made in my image, it´s my handwriting.

Psalm 139,13-14
"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well."

yes, so sometimes we just need make some time,
soaking it all in.

Knowing we are loved and just be loved.

hallo (and what´s happening around here or so...).

Hallo I´m back :) Really...

It feels awkward being absent from a place I quite like that much,
like this small place here that has become a dear nook for me within the last year.

but sometimes life happens and priorities may change a bit...
maybe you already read my last post...
the last three/ four months have been some tough ones for me and my family.

First there was my torn shoulder capsule and then I got a neuralgia in this body part.
I had to take antibiotics several times and quite strong medication,
unfortunately through side effects I got nerve irritations in many different parts of my body,
with burning nerve pain, there was a time I could barely use both of my arms.

I am on sick leave since February, something I thought will never happen,
because as freelancer you don`t really take any days off, usually, I guess...

Sometimes life just comes different as we may think.
It´s a crazy thing.
But in those times you learn what really matters, for your family
and yourself. Plans may change.
There are so many things we often pay to much attention to.

In those times you learn what is really inside of you.
It took me a while to stop (really stop looking) on the pain and the problems,
and holding unto Gods promises,
sometimes faith is a decision, the decision what you will believe,
the decision what will fill your heart...

and I´m happy because where ever we are at life,
God is in control, when we put our hope on him.

"Praise the Lord, my soul all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sin and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good thing , so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."
 (psalm 103,1-5)

That´s my decision, that´s how I live and thats what I lean on to
and what makes me happy ....

So I´m going on, blogging along, lot`s of things to tell  along the way...

a time out.

it´s a bit quite here now, I guess.
the last days have been some sick days around here.
Me and the girl faced a bronchitis and my sports accident
which was first diagnosed as pinched nerve in the back turned out
to be a rupture of my shoulder capsule. It´s quite painful and I barely
can`t use my right arm... the healing while take some time.
so I`m still figuring out to find a routine in between enough resting,
still running my business (costum orders, working on new spring stuff
and a wedding collection, which actually should come out end of February)
and most important of course mama and family life.
It´s still a bit crazy so to say. To be honest my home is looking very much like a mess
and there is an amount of laundry and many other things that need to be done at
the moment. but somehow I´m ok. with that.
God is giving me peace and rest, I´m facing each day now...just one step at a time.

it´s just a phase that will pass.

So I´m taking a little time out now from this space.
It´s a bit sad because I actually have so many fun things
from the beginning of 2014 that I haven`t shared with you yet.

But I´m happy and so much looking forward for the time
when we meet again.

And on that way I really want to say thankyou so much
to sweet Mary Beth from Annapolis&Co. who featured
my tiny-weeny instagram corner. This and all the sweet
people commenting and stopping by totally cheered me up.

I`m so happy for such spaces of sharing and inspiring !

so be blessed friends, see you soon !

xxx noni

thankyou.

just short popping in to say a big thankyou.
I never mentioned many thoughts according to this blog in detail so far. because
for me this blogging journey I feel is still quite new. I´m just so much enjoying
randomly sharing ideas and some thoughts with you.

And I´m so happy to have met so many kind people on the way,
that I surely never had met without this space.

I´m also thankful that over the past year, several of my DIYs got shared on different spaces.
( I never mentioned it here so far) but it makes me quite happy that these little ideas
sometimes don`t make only some sense to me but also to others and that they maybe
inspire you for trying out some own ideas.

So I also wanted to thank some blogs for sharing my ideas. The Pompom Lamp by the way
already was on 10different spaces, the picture above shows our penguin mittens,
who were featured on Disneys babble. And I really couldn`t believe my eyes when I saw
one of my randomly taken phone pictures here on the French Cosmopolitan online front page.

But more than that I hope that you will always, leave this space encouraged, blessed and inspired.

this is what makes my heart full and happy
according to this little corner here.

Dresden fall evenings & some dreams.

Hey everyone,

these are some latergrams from another spontaneous weekend trip:)
So I think I`ll take you with me in one of my favorite cities, not far from my home: Dresden.

Andi and I made a lot of memories here. From walking these roads as a teenage couple,
afterwards meanwhile studying art history and design, and of course to now coming back as a family.

It fills my heart with thankfulness.

A lot of things changed.
God changed me, molded and shaped me. He still does.
I also wouldn`t change a thing in my past, these where necessary steps on the way
to become what God wants me to be.

and I´m still on this journey. it`s a life journey and it´s quite adventurous.

so next to having long family walks in this wonderful autumn light in between one of our favorite places,
and eating a whole lot of sweets, cake and good food,
we just had time for good talks.
being away from home, not in between everyday duties, sometimes helps just to see things in
a different light. Often when we as a family need time to think and rest, we escape
for a short time, even when it`s only for two days or so.

it was that weekend we just felt that God is speaking to our hearts.
About the dreams and plans he gave us to pursue.

We noticed that in our life there is something like a recurring pattern:

When I was younger I gave my life to the Lord and told him that I don`t want to go my own path,
but instead the paths he prepared for me, because his ways are just better than ours, and that`s what
will completely fulfill us.
( and sometimes it takes some time to learn this by heart)

So I gave it all to him. Then God started putting things and dreams on my heart.
Sometimes crazy ones:).

And suddenly other doors closed.
Looking back I just noticed how many doors God himself closed,
and by noticing that he just healed my heart, because I still had to forgive some people.
Sometimes God used people in my life to close doors, that were not meant for me,
it may felt like a rejection in these days, but it was his way, to guide me another path.
The way he prepared for me.

now I can see it. I just needed some time to grow and realize.

then there is the thing about pursuing dreams... and I now just write about my own experience:

So sometimes God put a dream, a thought or something on my heart.
after noticing this, I enter a second phase. I would call it the testing phase, were I have to learn,
not to put these dreams above him, whatever comes. To depend on him and hand him back these
things and their importance in my life.

And then after my heart is shaped, and  finally ready to deal with these things,
I may enter another period, a time of harvest, a time
where the doors open , where you can enter in and start walking in this dreams, small and big.
And that`s part of this life`journey as well.

I write this because I experienced it, in some fields in my life, even though I`m just 30.

God gave us the dream to grow a church, it took us ten years, where our heart were moved
and shaped and it`s happening.

God gave me the dream to start an own fashion business. It sounds great but there was so much
to learn on that way. He is my strength and my guidance.
It now exists for 6 years, starting with a German small business, and now has grown so much that
I work together with my good designer friend, another employee and 7 tailors.
We produced and sold over 20000 handmade fashion goods, through Europe
and some other parts of the world.
And I know it`s just the beginning of a journey, which is in Gods hands.
( and yes there is so much I can share about this in this corner, and I will, when it´s the right time)

When we were in Dresden God was speaking to our hearts about another thing,
he layed on our hearts for quite some time now.
Coming back home, with these thoughts in my mind and also just laying our plans down before him.
A new little door opened...and a new journey is about to begin,
which I will share about soon!

Actually all I wanted to say is :
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.
(Psalm 37,5)

Give him the possibility to give his dreams to you, there is a beautiful plan for your life,
and a lot to come, he made you to be a witness of his love and share it with others,
and he has the right and perfect way for you,
don`t be afraid, when you trust him, he will close the wrong doors
and guide you the right way.

and maybe then when we are older  looking back on our lifes
we will know with full and thankfull hearts, it was all his way!

( and I don`t get this song out of my head these days:)
